What we offer

Travel Allowance & Stipend
DAAD-Vollstipendium: monthly rates of 1200€ (for U.S.) and 1050€ (for Canada), for a maximum of 9 months health insurance (funding 35€/ month), self-organized or with support by DAAD travel support, e.g. 1300€ for US West Coast host institutions

Annual Meetings
Every summer, we come together for a dedicated weekend of exchange and connection. This gathering offers returning fellows the opportunity to present the progress and results of their research, while we warmly welcome and introduce our new scholarship recipients.
A special highlight of the event is the annual presentation of the Hilmar Stolte Prize, awarded in recognition of outstanding research achievement.

Support & Mentorship
We place great importance on close personal guidance throughout the fellowship. Our mentor-to-mentor program ensures individualized support and fosters meaningful academic exchange. In exceptional cases, we also assist in establishing suitable mentorship arrangements.
Our team remains accessible and responsive to questions both prior to and during the fellowship period, ensuring that fellows feel supported at every stage of their stay.

An excellent network
The fellowship provides access to a distinguished international network of physicians and researchers. Through this global community, fellows establish valuable professional connections that extend far beyond the duration of their stay.
These relationships foster scientific exchange, open doors to collaborative projects, and create meaningful opportunities for future career development in both clinical practice and research.
