Who can apply

Students, at a German university, who are fully enrolled.
No parallel DAAD funding (ERASMUS, PROMOS, DAAD-Individualstipendium); other parallel funding will be checked individually
Clear research topic and plan for doctoral degree/dissertation thesis to be continued/conducted abroad. Unlike in previous years, stays cannot only be funded in the U.S. or in Canada, but also in other countries.
Existent local German research mentor as well as local mentor abroad; clear evidence of intended support (recommendations and letters of intent)
